Artwork and Specifications
Step 1 - Setup Heat Press
● Set your heat press to the right temperature for your substrate and DTW film. Exact Temp shared in next step.
● Check that the substrate is clean and free of debris or creases.
● Place the We Must DTW transfer on the substrate, printed side facing down.
● Use a cover sheet to shield our DTW transfer and heat press plates from direct contact. This helps to keep the ink from clinging to the heat press and provides even heat dispersion.
Step 2 - Time to Press
● The temperature of the heat press for Cotton & Cotton/Poly Blended Fabrics is 285 to 290 Fahrenheit.
● For 100% Polyester or any other synthetic fabrics the temperature is 265 to 270 Fahrenheit. However, we recommend using our product DTW COOL for these products due to its superior Low-Heat Performance
● Once aligned, gently close the heat press to prevent changing our DTW transfer.
● Press for 12 seconds directly on the transfer on high pressure.
Step 3 - Peel & Press Again
● Peel off the transfer paper while it is still warm or 5 seconds after pressing.
● Press again with a thin piece of cloth or a craft paper on top of the print for another 5 seconds.
Step 4 - What not to do
● Do not wash the garment for 24 hrs after the heat press.
● Do not use fabric softener
